Climate Smart Conservation Training

On June 2nd and 3rd, the Alliance partnered with the National Conservation Training Center to offer two one-day Climate-Smart Conservation trainings at the California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW) offices in San Diego and Los Alamitos. The course provided participants, which included CDFW staff and partners, an introduction to climate adaptation for application to on-the-ground conservation. The training overviewed how to craft climate-informed conservation goals, how to carry out adaptation with intentionality, and how to manage for change and not just persistence. On June 2nd and 3rd, the Alliance partnered with the National Conservation Training Center to offer two one-day Climate-Smart Conservation trainings at the California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW) offices in San Diego and Los Alamitos.
