Living Coast Discovery Center Community Event

The Climate Science Alliance attended the Animals on the Bay Day celebration at the Living Coast Discovery Center in Chula Vista on October 9th. This free event for the community received a record breaking 2,700 guests—1,000 more than Living Coast has ever had there! The Alliance’s Climate Kids Program was lucky enough to be a partner for the event. Visitors to our booth learned about the impacts of climate change and human development on local species. Also, our visitors got a special treat as the talented Audrey Carver, Alliance Affiliated Artist, helped facilitate an ocean inspired community art project that featured thumbprints of hundreds of attendees. The Living Coast Discovery Center will be holding the Animals on the Bay Day celebration again next year, so check our future announcements for event details.
