Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment - Addressing Threats to Beneficial Uses from Climate Change



The California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Diego Region (San Diego Water Board) is releasing for public review and comment Tentative Resolution No. R9-2017-0035, Addressing Threats to Beneficial Uses from Climate Change (Tentative Resolution).

The Tentative Resolution is a policy statement intended to:

  • Inform the public of the San Diego Water Board’s intentions

  • Provide guidance to staff

  • Respond to climate change-related directives of the Governor and Legislature.


Please submit comments no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 via email to sandiego@waterboards.ca.gov with the subject line "Comment - Tentative Resolution No. R9-2017-0035”.


The San Diego Water Board is scheduled to consider adoption of the Tentative Resolution at its public Board meeting on April 12, 2017 at the City of Mission Viejo City Hall.
