Climate Science Alliance Brings Climate Kids to Underwater Parks Day

On January 21st, the Climate Science Alliance brought Climate Kids to Under Water Parks Day at SEALIFE Aquarium in Carlsbad, CA. Underwater Parks Day was an effort by Southern California aquariums to explain the importance of Marine Protected Areas in maintaining the health of coastal ecosystems and species. This event hosted kid-friendly activities, crafts, performances, hands-on exhibits and an underwater dive show.


Climate Kids partnered with Mission Bay High School, Resilient Coastlines Project, and StayCool for Grandkids to incorporate climate change messaging into topics of ocean health through art, storytelling, and interactive song and dance performances by Nos de Chita. Climate Kids ambassadors from Mission Bay High School volunteered to educate visitors on climate change. Check out the photos from this fun event below.
