Climate Kids Expands to Orange County

As part of our Climate Kids program expansion, the Climate Science Alliance had its first Orange County program at Fulbright Montessori Academy in Lake Forest, CA on April 21st. The Climate Kids Earth Day Assembly introduced 85 students ages 3-6 to the impacts of both visible and invisible pollution on the planet and ways they can minimize these impacts. The kids learned about the long life of marine debris and conducted an experiment to learn how marine life is affected by the debris. They also explored the interactions between plants and pollinators and how these interactions might change as our climate changes. The students ultimately had the opportunity to make a commitment to address these issues through a collaborative art piece. Our Earth Day Assembly encouraged these kids to protect the Earth and share what they have learned with others.
