CSA x SD Coastkeeper Collaborate for Roosevelt Middle Earth Day

Roosevelt Middle School in San Diego invited San Diego Coastkeeper and the Climate Science Alliance to bring hands-on ocean science to their Earth Day festival! The festival ran all day on April 19th and was led in collaboration with 7th grade students. Activities spanned the topics of Public Health, Recycling, Food Resources, Composting, Solar Energy, Scientist Research, Water Testing, Climate Change, and Green Engineering. The Alliance also met a new collaborative partner at UCSD's CREATE Program and we look forward to working with them soon. CREATE houses an innovative team of researchers, youth mentors, and professional development experts working with the region's teachers.
