Pala Environmental Department Hosts Successful Climate Change & Tribal Health Training
Congratulations to our partners at the Pala Environmental Department for a great training on climate change and tribal health!
The inaugural workshop took place on June 5th and 6th, hosting 24 attendees for two days at the Pala Band of Mission Indians Reservation. Professionals represented tribes and tribe-serving organizations from various parts of the country including California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and Louisiana.
Facilitators Shasta Gaughen (Pala Band of Mission Indians) and Angie Hacker (Prosper Sustainably) designed the training to be highly interactive, including peer discussion and hands-on learning activities that simulated vulnerability data gathering and adaptation strategy selection processes.
