“Lealtad a mi Tierra”: DUNAS Team & Community Restore Dunes

“Lealtad a mi Tierra” / “Loyalty to my Land”. The DUNAS team, partners, and community members gathered to decorate wooden panels that are used to accumulate sand as part of the dune restoration process.

On June 29, the Descendants United for Nature, Adaptation, and Sustainability (DUNAS) project team invited partners and community members to decorate and install the wooden panels that are used to accumulate sand, and eventually form the dunes. Dozens of local volunteers spent a day at the Hacienda la Esperanza Reserve, breaking down wooden pallets and painting beautiful illustrations and messaging on the panels.
