Climate Science Alliance Participates in Tribal Climate Change Symposium

The Washoe Tribe’s Environmental Protection Department invited Climate Science Alliance Director Dr. Amber Pairis to participate in their Tribal Climate Change Symposium in Lake Tahoe on September 9-11, 2019.

Dr. Pairis spoke in the “Science of Climate” and “Outreach & Engagement” plenaries, joining tribal partners from across the country. Multiple Alliance partners were also on hand for this valuable three-day event including staff from the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals, Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians, and Jamal Indian Village.
